About Eileen
I have spent more than four decades working in higher education, with a career focused on student success, engagement, leadership, and the recognition of academic achievement.Since 2015, I have served as Executive Director of Alpha Lambda Delta, the national honor society recognizing first-year academic success. I have also held leadership roles with the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS), including serving as its president, and am currently helping lead the revision of the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS) Standards for College Honor Society Programs.Earlier in my career, I held leadership positions in student affairs at Buffalo State University, Sonoma State University, and Loyola University Chicago.Through In Defense of Honor, I bring that experience to organizations seeking thoughtful, practical guidance—and to a broader effort to ensure that academic achievement continues to be recognized, celebrated, and valued.
